We are old European nation, mutually connected with western culture and Christianity, Holy Ligature, events in 1444 and 1683. We have even got our Pope, (the great and holy man, who will always live in our hearts and souls), so our holidays are Easter, Christmas, Corpus Christi, All Saints. Some holidays are national as Independence Day 11th Nov. or church-national like 15th Aug The Vistula Miracle.
We have also holidays connected with schools and universities according to the end of semesters. Terms of winter holidays depends on regions, because of all children must spend their free time in mountains and to avoid crowd there. Summer holidays for pupils have part of June, July and August, and all September can be add for university students.
The best holidays for me are, so called, May's long weekend. It consists of three days: (see addenda).

    ADDENDA

1st May- Worker's Day , very popularised by socialists and communists in Europe free day on remember of great strike of Americans workers in Chicago, 2nd May- National Flag Day and 3rd May-Our Lady Queen of Poland and Constitution Day. Why I like them the most, because if you take couple of days break from your employer and with weekend you have got 10 day free to spend in mountains. The Tatra are still very dangerous because of avalanches, so we, sometimes in a quite big group of friends, go to The Beskidy mountains, not so high but what is special. The plate central regions are already green but mountains are still white and grey, but when we start to walk there the green burst and flower arise day after day, beautiful view.

    Hi!

I do not feel competent enought to correct your submission. I am sure native ones will do it soon. I only want to tell you I am impressed by your writing. I am Polish so really understand you!

The Beskida mountains are beautifull in that season indeed. Do you know Bieszczada montains? They are not high and a bit wild ! It is wonderful to explore them too!

Have a nice day and great pleasure with Livemocha!

I like this essay very much. It's well construted and informative.

'Got' is not good in this text and the 'even' is before the verb  as it quantifies the verb 'have'.

There is a bad habit theses days of everyone saying 'like' where it has no meaning at all. 'Like' means to resemble. You're stating a definite with Aug. 15th so 'like' means nothing here.

As you're writing about schools the times when the students attend are called 'terms' as opposed to 'semesters'= holiday periods so, I think, using the word 'term' for winter holidays could be confusing. Plain for a native English speaker but may confuse a foreigner learning the language/reading the text.

This is great work; I agree with the other comments. You write very well. This exercise is easy to understand, well thought and (mostly) grammatically correct. One thing to keep in mind: in the U.S., we write dates month-day-year, so you would say Nov. 11, and Aug. 15. Of course, your way is perfectly correct in the rest of the world...

Since most of the corrections have been made by other reviewers.  I will not repeat what has already been stated.  Your exercise contains a lot of detail. It is very interesting.

We are an old European nation, which is mutually connected with Western culture, Christianity, and Holy ligature (due to events in 1444 and 1683). We even have our Pope, the great and holy man, who will always live in our hearts and souls. Our religious holidays are Easter, Christmas, Corpus Christi, and All Saints Day. Some of our holidays are national holidays, such as Independence Day, which is celebrated on the 11th of November; and Assumption Day, which is celebrated on the 15th of August. We also have holidays connected with schools and universities according to their end of their semesters schedules. The schedules of our winter holidays vary from region to region.  We want all of the children to enjoy their holiday in the mountains without crowds, so we allow the schools to release the students at different intervals.  The student's summer holiday begins in mid-June and continues through August, and the university students vacation until the end of September. The best holiday for me are, so called, May's long weekend. It consists of three days: (see addenda). My favorite holiday is the three-day holiday we have in May, which celebrates Labor Day combined with our National Flag Day and our Constitution Day.

On May 1, we celebrate Labor Day, which is popularised by socialists and communists in Europe, and it is a free day to remember the great strike of American workers in Chicago.  On May 2, we celebrate Flag Day; on May 3, we celebrate Our Lady Queen of Poland and Constitution Day. Why I like them the most, because if you take couple of days break from your employer and with weekend you have got 10 day free to spend in mountains. The reason I like this three-day holiday the most is because if you combine a few days off prior to the holiday plus the weekend, I have myself a 10-day vacation to spend in the Tatra mountains! These mountains are still very dangerous because of avalanches, so sometimes, we go with a large group of friends to the Beskidy Mountains, which are not quite as high, but are still very special. By this time, the plateau central regions are already green, but the mountains are still white and grey. When we first start hiking there, the green vegetation is bursting, and then the flowers begin to spring up day after day. It's a spectacular view.

Whew, this was quite an essay you constructed! I am impressed!

If you do not understand my corrections or suggestions, please let me know.

Sorry, I didn't get to this yesterday!

Another well constructed and interesting essay.

You have to learn where to put articles (a, the, an). They are not always needed but then sometimes, the are. It's a case of getting to know.

I've sent you some information in a message as it's too long for this

What is the "Holy Ligature". Is there another phrase for it. I am not familiar with it and I can't find anything on the Internet.

    lovely :)

But I think it's "we are one/an old European..", but im not a native hihi

Try to alter between "we have", maybe use "there is..." to have some different starts of a sentence.
