    My profession is construction. I am an engineer. When I was young, I wanted to travel the entire world, but I have not been abroad until now.

    "an" before a vowel sound " a e i o u" this includes such words as honour where the h is silent.

    "a" before the rest.

    "construction engineer" sounds more accurate in regard to your profession.
