Senior Software Engineer

  • Provide technical expertise and participate in the design of LiveMocha's next generation service.
  • Responsible for design and development of key components and features of the LiveMocha product.
  • Participate in scalability and optimization of the LiveMocha system

Requirements

  • 4+ years software design and development experience, with a minimum 2 years of server-side development.
  • Recent experience in working on highly available Internet-based consumer websites and experience scaling the system.
  • Strong object oriented programming and design skills.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with web technologies ( e.g. Apache, Rails, PHP, Java, MySQL).
  • Experience in building 3 tier web applications.

Senior Product Manager

  • Livemocha is seeking a Senior Product Manager to create a world-class user experience that delivers on our ambitious and disruptive growth strategy. This position will be responsible for conceiving and designing new functionality, features, and improvements to the Livemocha experience, all of which are essential to the growth of the company. This position requires an experienced and passionate professional with skills that span the entire product management spectrum: long-term product vision, instinctive customer-centricity and understanding of the user experience, awareness of competitive offerings and dynamics, willingness to take ownership of high-priority projects, and detail-oriented requirements documentation.
More specifically, the Senior Product Manager will need to lead:
  • Market Analysis: Analyze competitive threats, customer behavior, and market opportunities to help identify new opportunities, and build a business case and organizational consensus for Product initiatives
  • Product Planning: Work with the Executive Team, Marketing Staff, a talented Software Development team to define requirements and specifications to build highly-engaging and usable Internet applications and features.
