Good job!
Please slow down your speech and focus on pronuciation.
Very good Mei! Your pronunciation can still use more work, but you are understandable.
good job .
exhausted - pronounced like "eks-aw-sted". Take care with the "x" sound, and ignore the "h".
Try to pronounce consonants that come together without adding a vowel - difficult for a Chinese speaker, I know - in "What happened?" Also, in the next sentence you added a vowel sound between "left" and "hotel".
Take care to pronounce the sound "e" differently from "a" in words like "left" and "then": this will make your pronunciation much clearer to English speakers.
You will need to keep practising the sound of "r", as in "briefcase" - especially difficult after the consonant "b" - until your tongue muscles grow strong enough for you to control this. Then you will be able to tap your palate with your tongue to make the sound. This holds you back from pronouncing "arrived", but with practice it will come.
frustrating - pronounced like "frustrayting"
little - this has a short sound, not like "ee". Listen to radio broadcasts from the BBC, for example, to hear it.
This is a difficult exercise, but it is very useful for showing you what you need to concentrate on practising. You are very brave for recording this: well done! 好棒!
