Very good effort, Juliana!  This is a longer passage and has several words that present a challenge to those learning English.  An example is "lives" -- it has two pronunciations, one with the long "i" sound (when it is a noun), and one with the short "i" sound (when it is a verb).  In this case, it is used as a verb, so should have the short i sound.

Another example is words with "ou” spelling.  Sometimes it has an "oo” sound (as in "you”) but other times it has the "ao” sound (like in "our”) -- similar to the "ão” sound in português.  You would think "youth” and "south” should rhyme, but they don't...

I hope this helps.  Keep practicing -- it takes time to learn a different language, and so far you are doing well!
