Instructions: Please recite the following paragraph. Press the 'add audio submission' button to record and submit this exercise.

I am going to Japan next year. I am going there for my friend's wedding. The airport is in Tokyo, but the wedding is in Kobe. We will go by train from Tokyo to Kobe. The trip takes about five hours. After the wedding, we will go to Osaka by subway for a party. The wedding guests will come from all over the world: from China, India, the U.S., Canada, and even Mexico. Of course, many guests will be from Japan.

The "th" in "the" and "there" is softer than a "d" sound.

With "d," we expel air as we tap our tongue against the roof of our mouths and our upper teeth.

With "th," we blow air over and under the tongue, which rests between upper and lower teeth.
