Excellent work! My only suggestion is that in the word "distance", make sure to pronounce the "c". It makes an "s" sound. That's it, though. :)

Repeat this after me: distance. I will record the passage for you to use as reference.

    OK? Keep it up!  \o/

Well done. It's only the word 'distance' that's not quite right, but I see others have made the corrections.

Good. The only word you mispronounced was "distance" The "ce" has an "s" sound.

It is difficult for me to understand what you are reading without following the script myself.  i think that if you pronounce the consonants at the end of words, your pronunciation will be clearer.  Listen as I read the passage. Lisa, you are saying 'rakes' more like it was spelled 'racks'. Try it as if it were spelled 'rayks'. Just a phonetic 'rule' ... if a short word ends in 'e' there is a good possibility the preceding vowel has the long sound.

lake,  take,  make, long 'a' sound

lone,  bone,  cone long 'o' sound

Very good indeed! ;) Please, consider working on the pronounciation of the following words a little bit more:

    "rakes"

    "tape"

    "distance"
