The Statue of Liberty is a landmark in New York. The French people gave it to the American people as a gift in the year 1886. The Statue of Liberty is a monument for remembering friendship between the two countries. The Statue of Liberty shows a woman standing. She is holding a torch in one hand, and a book in the other hand. Artists made the statue from copper. The statue is 46.5 meters tall.

    Excellent.

It was difficult to hear the 't' in "Liberty"

Everything else was very clear and natural.

    Well done!

    Excellent, Lina!

As John pointed out, the 't' in liberty should be pronounced. Transliteration could be: li ber ty or lib er ti. Either way, the 't' gets some emphasis.

Nevertheless, you did excellent and your speeck is very natural.

    Really well done, Lina.

First, I agree with John's comments and I also think his own audio comment should help you a lot (if you listen carefully to it).  Of course, his British pronunciation will differ a little bit from an American pronunciation (and I'm sorry that I'm not able to add an audio comment right now).

    Here are two specific comments:

"Monument" - You pronounced this word like "монумэнт."  It should be pronounced a little bit more like "манюмэнт" (with the stress on the "а").

"Statue" - You pronounced this word like "стату."  It should be pronounced a little bit more like "статчю" (with the stress on the "а").

    I hope that's helpful!

Hi Lina.  Work on 'Liberty' - pronounce the 't'!  Also separate New and York - it got a bit squashed!!
