Travel by Plane - Distance

Instructions: Please recite the following paragraph. Press the 'add audio submission' button to record and submit this exercise.

The distance from New York to London is about 5500km. Most people travel between the two cities by airplane. A round-trip ticket is about one thousand dollars. The price can be more during holidays and less with discounts. First class and business class also cost more. It is also important to remember the time difference. London is six hours ahead of New York. At 3:00pm in New York, it is 9:00pm in London.

    Eu vivo em Paris com meu marido. Ele é Argelino e sua família vive na Argélia. Ele tem uma família muito grande, mas a minha família é pequena. A minha mãe vive na Alemanha, em uma cidade pequena, a uma hora de carro de Colônia. Meu pai morreu há vinte anos, meu irmão morreu também. Tenho duas irmãs que vivem em Colônia. Uma vive com seu marido, que é professor de química e biologia e não têm filhos. A outra está divorciada, ela é médica e vive sozinha com sua filha, que tem dez anos. Minhas irmãs são mais jovens que eu. De vez em quando eu vou para Alemanha para ver a minha família, Colônia está apenas a 500 km de Paris.

    Parabéns! Très, très, très bon ! Je sais bien que il est ton propre texte, ce que montre que tu déjà domines la prononciation du portugais. Ton accent est très jolie et suave. Il est parfaitment entelligible par quelque bresilien, soit du sud ou du nord. De tout ton texte je seul peux indiquer que la prononciation de "biologia" est fait avec la sylabe fort en "gi". Et 500, tu as dit "concocentos", ce que est bien logique, mais il a été convencioné on dire "quinhentos". Souviens que le digraphe "nh" est nasal : "QUIN - EN - TOS" => "IN - EN"
