    The the sound is made by bringing the tip of the tongue to the bottom edge of the front teeth and blowing air through the mouth.  Is has no aw sound behind it.  Thw tongue is held against both sides of the upper teeth.  The center of the tongue and the tip od not touch anything.  All of English consists of the tongue being in different parts of the mouth with the air being blown out.
