I went shopping in Lashio(North Shan State) Market last Sunday. I were shopping for my friend's wedding reception. My friend will hold her wedding coming next Saturday. So we have to entertain there. I bought lace clothes, silver scarf, Myanmar longyi. I went there with my friends.

I went shopping in Lashio(North Shan State) Market last Sunday. I was shopping for my friend's wedding reception. My friend will hold(held) her wedding coming next Saturday. So we have to entertain there. I bought lace clothes, silver scarf, Myanmar longyi. I went there with my friends.
I think everything is good except the grammar...
intead of saying I were shopping for my friend's wedding, you would say I "went" shopping or "was" these phrases should be in the past tense if you were talking about the past which you were when you started the sentence by saying that you went shopping.
It should 'I went shopping' instead 'I were---'.
