Needs and Wants
Instructions:
Compare “need” and “want” in sentences about six people: you and me, a boy and a girl, a man and a woman. Also, use positives and negatives of either “need” or “want” in some of the sentences. Example: I want a car, but I need to finish my college degree. She wants ice cream; she does not want broccoli.
English Writing Exercise
You need to get the Fernando de Noronha Avenue and turn right into Flávio Barros street. Go ahead until the next to the last house. The number of my house is 285.
Very good! Muito bom!
Both corrections I made were not really grammar errors, but rather the meaning was not entirely right in this situation. So:
1) You can "turn right at" a crossroads, or at a plaza - but you "turn into" a street. Not really an error, and an Englishman would understand you easily - but still the second way is better.
2) Would be even better to write: "until the house which is next to the last"
It's better to say "to get TO some street", "go STRAIGHT", "my house number".
Good job! Here are my corrections:
You need to get on the Fernando de Noronha and turn right onto Flávio Barros street. Go straight until the next to the last house. The number of my house is 285.
Hope that helps. =)
