Lucy is one of my best friends. She Her is not only my good friend but also my foreign teacher who teaches me English. She Her is only 24, as the same as to me. She But her is a teacher now and she her has been to many countries as a foreign teacher. She is very tall.  She is even taller than all her classmates in our class. She is 190 cm tall and I am 165 cm tallWhenever we stand next to each other, my head can just reach her shoulder.  She has a curly golden hair. I like it very much. My hair is straight and black.

    1. Subject/object case:  "She" is used as a subject and "her" is used as a direct or indirect object.  I think you know this.  You must have been tired when you did this lesson.  :)

    2. Sentence Pattern:  ...not only...but also....

    (不但。。。而且。。。)

    3. Usage:  When describing a person's hair, we always list the color last in the adjective series.

    4. Very vs. Very Much:  Many Chinese try to use "very" like hen3 (很).  This only works for adjectives and adverbs--not for verbs.

"Very" modifies adjectives and adverbs and is placed before them (very tall, very slowly).

"Very much" modifes verbs and is placed usually at the end of the sentence.

I like it very much (like...very much).  She is very likable.

She is very pretty but she talks very fast.

She enjoys her beauty very much (enjoys...very much).

    5. Subj-verb agreement:  teacher who teaches (teacher is singular, so who is singular, so she teaches/teacher teaches/who teaches)
