djamalus's submission: Average Rating:
Chaudeau is a unique drink in my country. The ingredients used to make it are : eggs, milk, sugar and of course, spices.
It is very difficult to make, since you can screw up easily. People usually make Chaudeau when there is a reception for a baptism. It is served with a special cake called "gâteau fouetté".

I have to admit that when I try to make Chaudeau, I always fail. However, when I try to drink it, I do succeed in !!!! That's why I do not make it anymore, I just drink it.

Excellent! Just "succeed," though, not "succeed in."

Hi Djamalus, As usual, excellent work with a twist of humour! A few minor corrections: Chaudeau is a unique drink OF my country. The ingredients used to make it ( you can also write- USED TO PREPARE IT) are : eggs, milk, sugar and of course, spices. It is very difficult to make IT, since you can GO WRONG easily. (screw up is a slang) People usually make Chaudeau when there is a reception (or a CEREMONY) for a baptism. It is served with a special TYPE OF cake called "gâteau fouetté". I have to admit that whenEVER I try to make Chaudeau, I always fail. However, when I try to drink it, I do succeed !That's why I do not make it anymore, I just drink it. Very sensible. :)

Bonjour Djamalus, Well done - just a couple of suggestions. Line 2- "eggs, milk, sugar, and, of course, spices. Line 3- 'since it's easy to -ruin ('scrrew up' is slang, it detracts from your good story.) Line 7- The word 'in' is extraneous. just leave it out. Enjoy!

Hi Djamalus, I thought that this was a very good paragraph. The slang was OK with me. It's true, as someone else pointed out, that we just say: "I do succeed." But it was very good. Mary

I don't believe I have submitted a rating for this because in the next to last sentence "However, when I try to drink it, I do succeed!!! NON "in". Also I don't know hot to submit a rating, something else you might teach me? Merci bien.
