    It´d be better:..."I went to NY... By boat... IN Your third tense, i really don´t understand what do you want to say with "tiempi". but may be "it took us a long time arrive here" could be a good option. AND also I BOUGHT (FIRST PERSON NO "S" ADDED IN PRESENT, AND YOU NEED USE THE PAST IN THIS TENSE) GOOD JOB
