Instructions:
Provide the time for the activities of six people: a woman, a man, a girl, a boy, you and me. EX. The girls are reading a book at nine o’clock. The boys play in the bedroom at seven thirty.

Since there was time mentioned in the following statements it is assumed it is in the past and therefore the verbs used should be past verbs.
The woman is was runing at in the street at five o'clock. The men are were playing tennis at seven thirty. The girl is was washing at seven-fourty. You are were eating at twelve o'clock. I will go to visit my friend Thijs at one fourty-five, the next Saturday. of next weekend.

The woman is RUNNING IN the street at five o'clock. You must double the "n" in running in order to get the "short" vowel sound. As a rule, when only one consonant follows the vowel, one would get the "long" vowel sound. Listen to my recording for a demonstration of this.
The girl is washing at seven FORTY. I know, I know, 4 is four; but 40 is forty! It is confusing!
Again, I will go to visit my friend Thijs at one FORTY-five (45 must be hyphenated (-). . . . . . We would more likely say "I will go to visit my friend . . . . NEXT SATURDAY."
