    Hallo, ich werde den Text mit dem korrigierten Satz vorlesen.

    Das Mädchen wird nicht etwas Musik hören.  That is not correct!

    Es muss heißen:

    Das Mädchen wird keine Musik hören. - oder - Das Mädchen wird nicht Musik hören.

    This is the reason I left out etwas in the 2nd to last sentence.

    Hi crashish,

    You aren't quite right that the sentence,

    "Das Mädchen wird nicht etwas Musik hören" is wrong.

    The synonyms for "etwas" are: ein wenig, ein bisschen.

    In this sentence there isn't the verb "hören" negated but the word "etwas". You can continue the sentence, "Das Mädchen wird nicht etwas Musik hören" with:

    " Sie wird viel Musik hören" or "Sie wird gar keine Musik hören".

    I would like to give you only an explanation, but in any case the sentence in the text is only constructed and not common.
