Describe the locations of a set of people and objects. Describe each. EX. The woman is on the yellow couch. She is not in the brown chair.

I believe that "es ist im Bett" is perfectly correct, although you might also hear "sie ist im Bett" in colloquial German. "im Bett" is the more common expression, but you could also say "auf dem Bett" if you wanted to emphasize being on top of it (as in "sobre a cama").
