Io ho ricevuto un regalo dalla mia amica. Lei mi ha dato un cappello per il mio compleanno. Io normalmente non porto questo tipo di cappello, ma come posso non indossare questo regalo per lei?

Io ho ricevuto un regalo dalla mia amica. Lei mi ha dato(it's correct but would be better the verb regalare, past form regalato)un cappello per il mio compleanno. Io normalmente non porto questo tipo di cappello, ma come posso non indossare questo regalo per lei?

Instead of the word "dato" it is better the verb "regalato" un cappello....
