Bravo!! It's almost parfect without a little mistake:
彼女は背が短いです。→彼女は背が低いです。 （Kanojo ha se ga hikui desu)Because the word " 短い" means "short " but not "small".
We use it only for the longuer, for example when we say
" 彼女の髪は短い"(Kanojo no kami ha mijikai)
＝Her hair is short; it's correct,
But we couldn't say "彼女の背は短い" （Kanojo no se ha mijikai).
If we want to say "She is small " , we say "彼女は背が低い"
in Japanese. The word "低い" means "low" and we use it for the hight like that of the mountain etc.

男性はdanseiとよみます。
女性はjyoseiとjyoをみじかくよむともっといいです。
日本人は人の特徴を説明する時、次のように言います。
・彼女は背が短低いです。その少女は背が短低いです。 （二人の方のご指摘のとおりです。）
また、She is tall.-> の直訳は：「彼女は高いです。」となりますが、 e-jの辞書(dictionary)は："tall"を「(背が)高い」と翻訳(put English into Japanese)しております。 同様に、The girl is short.-> の直訳は：「その少女は短い」となりますが、e-jの辞書(dictionary)は："short"を「短い」、「背が低い」と翻訳（put English into Joanese)しております。
日本語で「短い」(short)は：物(a matter & a thing)の「「長さ」(length)、「距離」(a distance)、「時間」(time)や人(a person)の場合は、「人の足(a foot)が長い、短い」、「人の手(a hand)が長い、短い」に使います。
なお、このテキストでは【短い】と翻訳されていましたが、これは日本語として良い表現ではありません。と私は考えます。
