sono inu wa ga suki desu.

normally when you say you like something, you say

    "... GA suki desu."

" ...WA suki desu" is used to make a contrast.

    for example

"... wa suki dewa arimasen. demo ... WA suki desu."

    (I don't like ..., but I do like ...)

    Yasai no inu

I guess you meant yasei no inu which means wild dog. yasai means vegetable :)

    Hello panda san :-)

Thx for the explanation on the use of ga. particles in Japanese is still a mystery for me. But it starts clearing-up with your help.

Regarding the dog: I mean a vegetable-eating dog (just kidding)

What I really wanted to say is skinny dog (from yasette I thought) How would you say that there were 3 skinny dogs?

    Thx for your help.

    Eddy

PS. I leave for Japan on Monday, so if you need something from your home country that is not too heavy or big, please let me know.
