It's perfect except that 男の子は勉強が熱心で.
Why don't you use "、" ?
For example, この女の人は、可愛くて優しいです。そして、この男の人は、荒くて気持ち悪いです。
After the subject of the sentence, (in Japanese after "someoneは") you can use it.
And most young Japanese use きもい instead of 気持ち悪い.
