Mandarin Chinese Writing Exercise (All Levels)

Describing People

Instructions: Describe six different people, using a positive and negative descriptive word: a woman, a man, a boy, a girl, you and me. Ex. The boy is young and not tall.

People on this site often ask for my views on love and relationships. I like monogamy, so once I'm in a relationship, there can be no other women in my life. Before that point, though, I must be selective and careful. I have been hurt by a break-up before and don't intend to put myself in that sort of situation again.

I value trust, love, honesty, commitment...all those things that characterize a traditional Asian relationship. Many non-Americans stereotype American relationships as universally unstable and acrimonious, but I think that is a mischaracterization. In any event, I don't represent the typical American at all.

I am especially attracted to Asian (especially Chinese) women. Part of this is (I think) innate, and part is logical. My physical attraction is probably natural and unavoidable. But I also admire the typical Asian work ethic, intelligence, monogamy, etc. I'm not afraid to admit that one benefit of coming to this site is to meet Chinese girls.
