Describing People
Describe six different people, using two descriptive words each: a woman, a man, a boy, a girl, you and me. Ex. The boy is young. The boy is tall.

“nu ren' should be"nv ren"
zhe ge nu ren gao, fo you; nan ren nian ji da wo ai, zhe ge nan hai xiao, ta hen qiong. nu hai xiao, pang wo gao ni nian ji da
zhe ge nu ren gao， nan ren nian ji da ，wo ai，zhe ge nan hai xiao， ta hen qiong，nu hai xiao，wo pang， ni gao，ni nian ji da 。
这个女人高（zhe ge nv ren gao）。“fo you“ sorry , i don't know what you wrote. 男人年纪大（nan ren nian ji da）, 这个男孩小（zhe ge nan hai xiao ), 他很穷（ta hen qiong ），女孩又小又胖（nv hai you xiao you pang)，我个子高(wo ge zi gao )，你年纪大(ni nian ji da ). 个子（ge zi ）here is a word to discribe the height of people .
“nu”is“nan”“fo”is“fu”“ji da”is“ji du”“qiong ta”is“qita”

Serveral days ago , a friend asked a question that what's the meaning of "我年纪大". You maybe kown it’s the meaning of "i'm old". "But ,why this ? Why not “我是 纪大” "? 我是（wo shi）also means i am ,right?"he asked.
You may also get confused about this question. To answer the question , we must understand this first:character and word.
Characters(字) are the symbols of the written language , the unit of writing . they are basically correspondent with the syllables(音节）, generally, one character with one syllable. Characters are made up of components (部件)or strokes（笔画）.
Word（词） ,the unit for making sentences , is made up of morphemes（词素） . so what is morpheme? It is the minimum unit of sound and meaning . for instance ,”书” is a morpheme ,with the sound “sh ”and the meaning “book”;“马虎”is also a morpheme with the sound “m hu”and the meaning “careless”.both of them are the minimum unit of sound and meaning ,which bear no further separation.
Therefore ,all the single-syllable morphemes（单音节语素） or all the words made up of single-syllable morphemes are expressed by one character each . in this case, word , morphemes and character are in one form. It is in different case for multi-syllable morphemes (多音语素) and multi-syllable words（多音词）, owing to the fact that each syllable must have one character. That is to say , the word, morpheme and character may not be equal in number. For example , both “仿佛”and”雅加达” habe just one morpheme ,but they have two and three characters respectively.“汉语”，“葡萄干”“巧克力糖”have two morphemes each, but they have two, three ,and four characters repectively .“电视机”has three porphemes and also three characters.

“是” means “ to be ” in many sentence . the function of this word is to identify what is what and who is whom. So we often say “我是老师”means I’am a teacher . and “我是年纪大”is the wrong sentence . we just say “我年纪大”. so here you should say "nan ren nian ji da"
