Software Architect
Job Description
In this role you will lead the development of the LiveMocha web service while providing strong technical leadership in the design and architecture of the system.Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and strong leadership in the architecture of LiveMocha’s next generation service.
- Responsible for design and development of key components and features of the LiveMocha product.
- Participate in architecture, scalability and optimization of the LiveMocha system
- Conceptualize and innovate on new principles, concepts and technologies impacting LiveMocha’s customers.
- 8+ years software design and development experience, with a minimum 4 years of server-side development.
- Recent, demonstrable experience architecting and implementing highly available Internet-based consumer websites and experience scaling the system to high volume of users.
- Strong object oriented programming and design skills.
- Experience with Database design and programming.
- Strong hands-on experience working with web technologies (e.g. Apache, Rails, PHP, Java, MySQL).
- Experience in building 3 tier web applications.
- Experience with Ajax, HTML, Flash a plus
- Technical team lead experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will play a critical role in the design and development of the consumer facing LiveMocha user interface. Your work will be viewed by millions of customers and have a sizable impact on the creative direction of LiveMocha as we move forward.Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and participate in the design of LiveMocha’s service.
- Responsible for design and development of media rich UI components and features of the LiveMocha product using technologies like AJAX, Flash, HTML and supporting technology.
- Responsible for design of the LiveMocha consumer web flows and consumer experience.
- Conceptualize and innovate on new principles, concepts and technologies impacting LiveMocha’s customers
- Diagnose problems and design solutions.
- 4+ years software design and UI development experience.
- Recent experience in working on highly available Internet-based consumer websites and experience designing the user interface.
- Strong skills in programming and UI design - and experience working with various usability test.
- Strong hands-on experience working with web technologies like javascript, DHTML, HTML, AJAX, Flash, ActionScript.
- Experience in writing code to interact with other layers of the three-tier web application.
