Só uma observação:
'Ele não está careca.' (A frase está correta, mas dependo do que vc está querendo dizer. Não confunda com o inglês, onde o verb to be = ser/estar. Pois no Português 'ser' é diferente de 'estar'.)
Creio que melhor ficaria se vc escrevesse: 'Ele não é careca.'

Pay attention: Do you want speak "he isn't bald in situation of moment or this a characteristic defined of him??? If you throught in permanent characteristic is better to describe "Ele não é careca" because is very seemed with "Ele não está careca" but don't is equal and anybody to use to describe a person just. In the case is more use if you're talking about this characteristic to answer a question about someone in specific, about a friend for example...Is he bald? No, He isn't. ( Ele está careca? Não, Ele não está careca.) Ok!!!
