Instructions:
Using one positive and one negative statement, describe six objects (a car, a flower, a coin, a tree, a house, a purse). Ex. The house is black. It is not white.

Your exercise is incorrect. You have to build sentences using the formation Subject + Verb + Object, using that six Subjects (Woman, Man, Girl, Boy, You and I) and associating one item to each person:
Os palitos do garoto são de madeira. Eles não são de aço.
Os palitos = Item. Garoto = Person. De madeira = Object. Green Sentence = Positive Attribute. Blue sentence = Negative Attribute.

The exercise is incomplete, you have to show people and give a positive and a negative feature for items that they have, example:A mulher tem um carro branco,ele não é preto. (The woman has a white car, he is not black.)
O homem comprou uma flor amarela, ela não é vermelha. (The man bought a yellow flower, it is not red.)
A garota está usando um vestido verde, ele não é rosa. (The girl is using a green dress, it is not pink.)
O garoto tem uma bola azul, ela não é amarela. (The boy has a wblue ball, it is not yellow. )
Você tem uma casa roxa, ela não é cinza. (You have a house purple, it is not gray. )
Eu tenho uma bolsa preta, ela não é branca. (I have a black bag, she is not white.)
