Plus Course Help

Plus courses are designed to expand your learning experience through different content types and tutoring services. This section should help solve any problems you encounter while in your Plus Course.

Tutor Reviews

Tutor Reviews allow you to have your Plus Course exercises submissions reviewed by a Native speaking Livemocha tutor. When you complete a submission in your Plus Course, a box will appear with the option to have your exercise reviewed by a tutor.

A tutor will then review your exercise within 72 hours. You will receive a confirmation message once your submission has been reviewed by a tutor.

When you visit your exercise submission, the tutor's review will be graphically differentiated and marked as a “Tutor Review”. You can always see how many Tutor Reviews you have remaining in your Plus Courses package on the “Tutor Reviews” section on your Plus Course Home Page.

Plus Course Content

Your downloadable MP3s, Phrase Books, and videos and if available, Plus Grammar Guides will be available on the right-hand side of each lesson section on your Plus Course Home page as well as on the right-hand side of all of your Plus Course lessons.

Grammar Guides

We are excited to bring you the first grammar lessons on Livemocha. If your Plus Courses offers grammar guides, one is available for each lesson.

Grammar guides are available on the right-hand side of your Plus Course Home page as well as on the right-hand side of all of your Plus Course lessons. Grammar Guides are designed to introduce a variety of grammar concepts for the language you are learning and run in parallel to your lessons to maximize your learning comprehension. Each Grammar Guide also contains a list of related Flashcards that you can use to practice and quiz yourself.

Audio Downloads

Each lesson in your Plus Course contains an audio download. The audio is in MP3 format, and will cycle through all the phrases you learned in the lesson. The phrase will be said first in the learning language, followed by in your native language. You can use this download to load it on your mobile device or practice on your computer.

You can download the audio MP3 on the right hand side of each lesson section from the Plus Course Home Page or from the right hand side of your lesson.

Video Downloads

Each lesson in your Plus Course contains a video. The video is in MPEG format, and will cycle through all the phrases you learned in the lesson. You will see an image of the phrase, and the audio will be first spoken in the learning language, followed by your native language. You can use this video to load it on your mobile device.

Phrase Book

Each lesson in your Plus Course contains a Phrase Book. The Phrase Book is in PDF format and lists a picture and text of all the phrases you learned in your lesson. You can use this Phrase Book to learn on the go, print it out and quiz yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, click on “Account” under your “Home” tab. Then click on the “Payment History” link in the navigation bar. You should see all of your past purchases listed on this page. Click the “cancel” link in the “Actions” column to cancel a particular subscription.

If I cancel my subscription, do I get a refund?

Cancelling a subscription will stop all future payments, starting at the end of your current pay period. You will not get a refund for your current month, and you will continue to have access to your course until the end of the month you have already paid for. At the end of that month, your course will expire and you will not be charged again.

How do I get back to my Plus Courses Home Page?

Once you have signed up for a Plus Course, a new section named “Plus Courses” will appear on your Member Home Page once you sign in. There will be a link to access your course from this section. You can also access the course by clicking “Resume Course” in the top bar of your Member Home page as long you have not signed up for any other courses since signing up for your Plus Course. Finally, you may also access your course from the “My Courses” section under the Learn tab of the navigation.

What happens at the end of my subscription period?

At the end of your subscription period, you will still have access to the Coursework and progress in your Plus Course. However, your Plus services will expire and you will no longer have access to Tutor Reviews or MP3 Downloads. Don't worry, we will send you a reminder a week and one day before your package expires to remind you of the expiration of your package.

You can also choose to renew your package at the end of this time. Your remaining Tutor Reviews will automatically be carried over into your package if you choose to renew your Plus Course.

Can I sign up for more Tutor Reviews?

You can choose to renew your subscription at the end of your subscription period, which will grant you more Tutor Reviews.

How do I cancel my account?

For packages with 90-day access, you may cancel your account by clicking the "Support" link from the Plus Course Home Page. When the support page drops down, fill out the form completely. Refunds must be requested within 30 days of purchase. Please note that you will no longer have access to Tutor Reviews after cancellation. Refunds are not available for monthly subscriptions.

What if I am not satisfied with one of my Tutor Reviews?

If you are not happy with the service you received on a review, click the “Support” link on your Plus Course Home Page. We will investigate the matter and get back to you within 72 hours. Please make sure to include as many specifics as possible so we may better assist you. We may grant you additional reviews.
