For high quality verion of comment sound clip, copy/paste URL to brower: http://mocha.samcelot.com/meli0001.mp3 south (Begin with s'out, not s'you. End with "th" -- a very common English postfix. Produce that sound by pressing tip of tongue under front teeth. lives ("i" sound is short in English. Your French pronuncation causes you to be mistaken as saying "leaves") Practice also: is, if, inn, international favorite restaurant ("FA-vor-ite", say it as FAY~ not FAR~. Also, your inadvertent and habitual liaison of "terestaurant" made it very hard to understand. Careful with the R sound in "Restaurant." post office (don't forget "P" is almost always aspirated in English) highway ("H" is NOT mute in English, except the word "hour" where it is mute, and the word "herb" (only in US, not in UK). There are a few other exceptions, but in general, you must pronounce the H. To improve intonation, soften "way" ending. Don't longate with a rising tone.) university (don't follow French intonation, put the stress on "VER" with a very soft "ty" ending (u-ni-VER-si-ty). Practice also: uniVERsal, adVERsity, anniVERsary Very well done. Clear, very pleasant and easy to understand, with the exceptions of: "south" and "favorite restuarant"

Ooops, I meant copy and paste the URL into your BROWSER! My comment sound clip is an annotated sound track produced offline. As LiveMocha has no provisions for uploading clips, it was played back thru speakers and re-digitized by them via a very low 16KHz sampling rate, resulting in high distortion. It's best to listen to my original clip. As a bonus, you can pause and pick an arbitary point to play.
