Landmarks and Nationality

The Statue of Liberty is a landmark in New York. The French people gave it to the American people as a gift in the year 1886. The Statue of Liberty is a monument for remembering friendship between the two countries. The Statue of Liberty shows a woman standing. She is holding a torch in one hand, and a book in the other hand. Artists made the statue from copper. The statue is 46.5 meters tall.

Very good reading.  However you could improve it by saying the final 't' sound in words more clearly and by speaking ore slowly.  Words like 'Liberty' and 'Artists' need a final 't' sound.  Listen to my recording.

Thank you dpike for pointing out my mistakes. I think I spoke a little bit too fast which made those words especially "liberty" and "artists" sounded unclear, in this case losing the "t" sound. Your recording does indeed helped me. :)

    Here's my revision. :)
