Sun Safety - Time

In the summer, the sun can be dangerous. It is important to protect your skin when you are outside. You must use sunscreen every two hours. The sun is stronger after 10am, and is the strongest between noon and 4pm. You can get a sunburn in only 15 minutes. Some people go to the beach and sleep in the sun. When they wake up, they have a bad sunburn. Sometimes, people with bad sunburns need to go to the hospital.

Your pronunciation is great. I'm sure you know this already. I listened to your reading several times  to try to find something that might be of interest to you,and ,really, to my ear only a few sounds distinguish you from a native speaker. The "short i" sound you pronounce perfectly when it is followed by a harsh sound like "t" like "it"& "hospital". To my ear these were close to perfect. On the other hand when "i" follows a softer consonant like the "m" in "minutes" it starts to sound a little like the "ee" sound in "fifteen" rather than your "i" sound in the words I mentioned above. Your pronunciation of "y" when the y-word starts the  sentence is perfection. Whereas in the middle of the sentence , with the words linked together,( your skin...) there was the faint sound of a "J" as in New Jersey. Finally, I think you would rarely here a native speaker accent the second syllable of the numbers 13 through 19 when followed by minutes, hours, days etc. for emphasis unless it occurred at the end of a sentence (she was only fifteen!) In the above reading you would stress "only" for emphasis usually. I hope you find these comments of some interest. With regards,
    Ricardo
